(With friends in New York City.) They say things happen for a reason. Well, that’s been a big part of my journey. As I mentioned in a recent post, I had to wear an orthotic boot while in New York to correct my plantar fasciitis. The fun part about it was learning that a hell of a lot of other people in New York wear these boots. And, being me, I of course struck up a conversation with every one of them. It normally started with “Hey, nice boot!” Then we’d get to talking about what problem we had, how long we were wearing the boot, one woman even had a newer version boot and said she liked her boot better than mine!
All this made me realize and connect to how one of my greatest gifts is talking to anyone, anywhere. But, I somehow haven’t been stepping in to that part of me as boldly in the past few months. So, the boot became a symbol that this is the next part of my journey. I believe as I go forth that whatever happens next will be a result of who I meet and the conversations I have because I boldly dared to speak to as many people as I could around me. So, world, look out, here I come, and I’ll be talking to YOU! 😉
